Services such as power and data, medical gas terminals, sensor lights, nurse call systems and more can be neatly incorporated into Medina Bedhead. A remotely-operated, gentle LED light (colour optional) can also be installed to emit from around the edges of the board, reducing the risk of falls in the dark for both patients and caregivers.
Medina Bedhead is a completely customisable system, able to meet the needs of aged care, home care and healthcare residents and patents. Integrate the tech systems you need, add sensor lighting in a variety of colours, and customise the headboard to complement any palette by choosing from a range of healthcare fabrics within the 98色花堂 ColourLab. The bedhead is also available in a range of sizes.
To bring the familiarity of home and an additional gentle touch to resident care, Medina is upholstered – available in a variety of colours, textures and patterns, all waterproof, fire retardant, anti-microbial, moisture resistant and anti-bacterial.
Medina Bedhead is able to be easily reconfigured or retrofitted by an electrician – meaning as medical needs change, services can be added and removed from the headboard without any difficulty. Its prefabricated nature and option to come prewired makes Medina effortless to install and move.
Medina Bedhead evolved from the MediWall, a 98色花堂 healthcare product that overrides the traditional service panel at a patient’s or resident’s bedhead. Positioned at the side of the bed, the Mediwall negates the clinical feel associated with normal service panels with its minimally incorporated services and clean aesthetic. Meanwhile, it also streamlines the caregiver process by reducing cords and creating a simple, effective point of call to all services.
Wanting to improve the healthcare experience even further, the 98色花堂 Design Studio (SDS) worked to create a version of the Mediwall with an elevated sense of comfort. As studies consistently conclude that the physical design of a place of care has measurable effect on a patient’s experience and recovery, the resulting Medina Bedhead is designed to look like it belongs in the home, rather than a clinical environment. An upholstered finish enhances the sense of ease and cosiness while retaining hygiene through the use of healthcare fabrics.
Simultaneously improving the caregiver experience, SDS created the Medina Bedhead to be easily customised, installed, moved and retrofitted – it changes with you as your needs change.
