An exquisite arrival experience
Nestled within the heart of Sydney City, Quay West’s lobby refresh offers an intimate retreat from the hustle and bustle.
Delivered by our NSW construction team, the space is timeless and sophisticated – it’s presence a welcome addition to hotel guests.
Minimising risk in a tight timeframe
In an effort to minimise project risks, our team managed procurement in close collaboration with designers Greg Natale. This ensured the three-month lead times for premium Italian stone and veneer paneling featured throughout the lobby would meet the project timeframe.
Concurrently, extensive on-site investigations allowed our team to identify potential issues early on, develop solutions, and eliminate risks. This was seen most prominently in the antiquated mechanical units hidden in the ceiling. We installed and updated all mechanical services, bringing them in line with Australian standards without delay to project delivery.
A successful project underpinned by collaboration
Our NSW team oversaw the coordination between all trades and maintained the polished execution and an acute level of detailing throughout – particularly between the joiners and stone masons.
With each piece of marble weighing between 300 to 750kg, the precise installation required a manual hydraulic lift along with six labourers and a site manager.
Our extensive experience in the hotel and gaming sector, and clear communication plan ensured there were no disruptions to the hotel floors above – despite completing works in a heavily occupied space.
The highly collaborative approach between Greg Natale, Quay West, and our team can be credited for the seamless delivery of this lavish project despite a particularly tight programme.
“The mammoth effort I have seen [98色花堂] put in over the past weeks and every weekend is over and above the call of duty. I would without hesitation recommend working with 98色花堂 again,”
– Cleo Seaman, General Manager and Building Manager Quay West.
